WelcomeWe enjoy sharing Saxonhouse.
We do not open commercially but do welcome friends old and new to visit. If you are interested in history and would like to see Saxonhouse for yourself with your friends, your family or your local group, do give us a call and we will try to arrange a convenient time. We have really enjoyed sharing Saxonhouse with groups from the U3A and WI, historians, archeologists and authors and with local families. We have also opened during the Lincolnshire Heritage Weekend for the last two years and plan to do so again in 2018. Please be aware that you are coming to a ‘countryside’ site where you may encounter wasps in summer and muddy patches in winter. We don’t carry public insurance. You come at your own risk – as friends. We don’t charge for visits but some groups have been kind enough to leave a donation to help towards upkeep. We also ran a Kickstarter campaign during Spring 2016 to fund the renovation of the thatched roof. |
